What size Motor do you use for your Disc Grinder?

Title says it all.


I picked up a 3/4 HP 3PH Baldor at the scrap yard yesterday for $6, figuring that'd probably be enough for a starter disc grinder.. I've seen the light on how useful these things are as a compliment to a strong belt grinder.


What size motors are you guys using on your 9" disc grinders? Do you find it more or less than what you need?

I guess that answers that. I knew the 3/4 would be fine, I guess I'll keep my eyes peel for a bigger one though. Thanks!
