What size Spec Ops sheath for LE Badger Attack...

I'm heading out the desert next month, and my Badger Attack LE should arrive (crosses fingers) just before I leave. Since I won't have time to get a sheath made, I was planning on buying a Spec Ops before I left. I was wondering if the LE being .25" wide vs the standard size still fits in the Spec Ops? Also, online it offers a "long" and a "short" version. I'm guessing that the 5" Badger would fit the "short?" Thanks much.

Short should fit it just fine without any modifications. It'll handle a .25" blade.

I like the Combat Master (velcro on pouch) over the Survival (plastic clip on pouch).

I have a tan Combat Master ready to go when my BATAC LE arrives. :thumbup:

Dave, to add... I have heated up the plastic insert and molded it slightly on a long Combat Master. Hair dryer works fine, but you have to be very careful not to overheat. Some people have heated them with boiling water, I think. But I prefer the greater control of a hair dryer. Heat and test. Heat and test.

Skunk posted a good tip a while back about heating and then pinching along the cutting edge side (a little at a time) to eliminate rattle. I'm going to give that tip a shot with the Combat Master sheath posted above.

Also, if sand in the velcro might be a problem, you might want to go with the Survival version.
