what size tap and drill bit for a 3/16 screw?

what size drill bit and tap for a 3/16 screw? thanks
 
You have to know how many threads per inch (TPI) on the screw. #10 screws are pretty close. (3/16" = .1875" & #10 = .19") So, a 10-24 requires a #25 tap drill and a 10-32 needs a #21 drill. :confused:
