I think I want to use a tek-lok for belt carry. What size is the appropriate one for the ESEE-4?

I've got a large Tek- lok on my Bravo-1 kydex sheath. It works great for attaching to a belt of my backpack/buttpack.

Thanks for that info.

Are any of the smaller knife sheaths [Izula, RC3/4, HEST] set up for the small Tek-Lok use also.

Thanks in advance..... :)

I would most likely just drill a hole as needed on the 3 and hest, the Izula is a bit more tricky with the raised areas on the sheath. I guess you'd need to go custom for that one.

Thanks for that info too.

I didn't have a small 'T-L' handy, but I didn't see any holes in the sheaths that looked like they would line up too readily. ;)

Drilling is simple enough though......

I can tell you for a FACT that the small Tek-Lok will not work with the Izula sheath. Not in any position that I could find. Glad I just happened to have a small on another knife that I could check it with before trying to order one.

In fact, I'm not very impressed with the small Tek-Lok at all. The one I have works on the sheath I have it on (a custom sheath on a custom knife), but a large would work better.

Thanks 'rockspyder'.... :)

Out of curiosity, is there any other reason a small would not work IF another hole was drilled ?

Thanks in advance....... :)

I think you could drill another hole and make it work. But I'd think it would be better to just get a large Tek-Lok.

Actually, I just took another look, and looked at the thread referenced above. The small Tek-Lok WILL work if you put both screws through the slot in the spine of the sheath, as opposed to using the holes. I'm an idiot that i didn't realize that.

Thanks for the link 'Rich275'....

Thanks to you to 'rockspyder'.
I am a bigger idiot than you say you are.... :D .. I didn't think about that at all. :o
You came up with the perfect solution for the small T-L.
 ;)

I blame it on the heavy allergy medications..... They're killin' me this year.
