I just got my p.p. BM730s from Grand Prarrie Knives. I'm a lefty and want to flip the pocket clip, but don't know what size torx I need to buy. Also, should I buy loctite (blue?) for when I screw the clip back on?

Thanks,
Mitch

P.S. I'm pretty impressed with the smoothness of this axis lock, compared to others I've felt...but then again, maybe I'm just easy to please.

The nut is a T6, use blue if you must, and no, even the experts are impressed

Thanks stjames. Are you implying that loctite is not necissary, or even bad? I only want to use it if I need to.

Mitch, You'll have to decide if you need the extra strength yourself. The blue can at least be removed with the judicious application of heat, while the red it more or less permanent. I remove my clips entirely, and just wanted to re-enforce your due caution. I have a boss that spreads Loke-tite around like gravy on an open face sandwich, and I’m the one doing the dishes. So you could say I’m a bit prejudice against the stuff.

Sorry James,

but I always have at least 2 new bottles of blue Lock Tite around at all times, for my Benchmades, and other pocket clips. It's EASILY defeated using small hand tools. I have the Craftsman professional hand tools from T6 through T9. You clip is either going to be a T6 or a T7. Benchmade uses both. I think the Lock Tite is great for Benchmades...just seems to make them much sturdier, and has ZERO downfall, IMO. Just be careful not to use too much on the clip screws, because it can run down into the pivot area and roughen up the action of the washers. Use it...it's awesome. Just keep it away from Sebenzas!
