What slipjoint do you pair up with your Gossman?

I have been lucky enough to hang out at Scott's shop. I think the tv show Hoarders has been by to film his multitool collection :D (just kidding Scott, his shop is like a candy store). He's also had some neat slipjoints, one of which started me off on my Great Eastern Cutlery obsession, a 73 Scout. I've since picked up a pretty diverse selection of slipjoints, with a variety of patterns. Lots of stockmans and trappers. My most recent favorite has been the Great Eastern Tidioute Ben Hogan and the single blade Great Eastern North Field 23, the big brother to the 73 model. I've been most interested in slipjoints, and bushcraft/camp knives for the past couple years.

What slipjoints do you carry every day? Do you like to pair your Gossman knife with a slipjoint when you're on the trail, or with your Gossman you use for EDC? I usually have a little Case peanut on me, and most of the time a Victorinox pioneer. I prefer to bring along either my Gossman Polaris or mini Kephart, and my Victorinox Farmer when I'm enjoying time in the woods. I used to pair off a SAK with my old PSK for working around the property at home.

When I carry a slipjoint I use a Victorinox Farmer with Silver Alox handle slabs that is dummy-corded to my belt.

I am also intrigued to try out the "U.S. Knife" as manufacture currently by Ontario and called the "8980 Camp Knife".

Not a slipjoint but I carry a Sebenza along with Scott's knifes.
Same general philosophy of great ergonomics and no-nonsense functionality.
Currently a Large Micarta Insingo is the companion of choice.

More and more I like SAK's. But I'll carry just about anything: Mauser, Buck, GEC, or even a Sebenza. I do like to keep a small folder handy.

I really like slipjoints but have gotten away from carrying a folder. My folder would be a multi tool. I have many as SHS knows. I rotate differnet ones but always have one on my belt. I favor Leathermans but also have SOG and Swisstools. I EDC my UNK in my pocket and a multi tool on my belt.

I carry my Leatherman supertooll or Wave. I carry a Kershaw Skyline lockblade in my pocket. I do have an old bone handle Case 2 blade hunter model with the large blades that is my favorite knife. It has bone scales on the handles. It has a belt sheath to carry it in. I have used that a lot years back to field dress a lot of deer.Even though it is not a lockblade I never had any problems with it!

I have an early 60's/late 70's version made by Camillus. It was my Dad's, issued to him when he was in the Air Force. It'll take a scary sharp edge and hold it well. My favorite slipjoint that I own. If the Ontario is as good as the old ones, you'd get a helluva deal for the $20 to $30 you'd spend on it.

Now, I just need a Tusker or Kephart to pair it up with.

Gossman and Davison... Match made in heaven!
