What small stones are 2000 8000 or 10,000 grit

Hi have been getting very good results with wet and dry paper 240- 1200 grit wraped around a sharpening stone.

with my strop (no paste belt) I am getting hair popping, but was like to get more of a mirror finish on the edge. what do you recomend for a ultra fine grit stone as fine as 8,000 or 10,000.

I only need a small stone or stick, for my sharpening method.

if you've been getting good reasults with wet&dry paper why not get finer paper, I've got some 2 micron grit which is about 8 or 10k (8k I think)

have you tried the Ulra fine rods for a sharpmaker?
 
Hi andy I am on the look out for some finer WD paper, need to go to a car body shop only expecting to find 2000 grit, would be great if I could get finer.

I know there are ultra fine ceramic rods which would do very nicely but so far it has be hard to get specif specs online coming from the UK does not help either. But I will get there in the end.

Really loving the wet and dry approach, it is so handy having the choice of grits, depending on the condition of the edge, though it took some experinmentation with my tecnique to get it right.
