I am going to ask for a Spydie for Christmas, but I can't deside which one I want the most. I would like to keep the price under $100, it is a tossup between a Caly 3, a Manix or Mini Manix, a Chinook (hollow or flat?), or a new Endura and a Delica, then there is also the D'allara. Any suggestions?

My faivorite Spyderco - Military. I guess you may have one with G10 and CPM S30V for around $100. But better get Carbon Fiber and BG42 for just $155, while Mike Dye need your help with his owerstock...

Thanks, Vassili.

My favorites are Caly3, Persian (full size) and Adventura. All of them are under $100.
Persian is discontinued, but still available. It is strong and beautiful knife, incredible fit and finish, Ed Schempp and Spyderco did terrific job.
Caly3, Manix, Mini Manix, and Chinook still in production and you can get them later.
Good luck

If this is going to be your first Spyderco, I'd go with an Endura and a Delica. They are great knives and you'll have two different sizes to EDC.

If you already have a couple of Spydies, I'd recomend a Manix or a Chinook (flat).

Manix is a great big heavy duty knife. It's been in my pocket for the last 6 months.

This is not going to be my first Spydie, I already have a Native, an old Endura, and a (Byrd) G-10 Cara Cara,

BG42 Carbon Fiber Military is my fav. For such a huge knife, it really carrys well.

My fave is the Harpy/Merlin, but they aren't really that practical for everyday mundane use.

But for most chores, a Native or Delica are perfect.

I'd go for an Endura4 and a Native...both can be had for under $100. The rational behind the Native is so you can experience using a finger choil on a smaller knife. I think you'll get hooked. ;) The Endura4 is light, thin, and will get you accustomed to using larger knives - without the bulk.

Then again, I hear you can chop down pine tree's and saw through bank vault doors with either the Manix or Chinook (get the flat grind). ;)

i have 4 spydies and my faves are probably my goddard for looks and wal mart native- i love that thing. small, light, SHARP! and just a great EDC. my mini manix is cool too...just not very practical to carry to work (for me at least).

Caly 3. Hands down. Been waiting for this one for a while, and I wasn't disappointed.

Second favorite? Bill Moran FB01.

If it fits your size needs, the Caly3 would be a good choice. I have a UKPK and it still is my favorite. i know I will get a Caly3 soon, even though I don't feel the need for a lock, because I just can't help myself!:D

I think you'd really like the Caly3.
