What Spyderco Knives are bought and never sold?

I often check out the classifieds "exchange" here on BF. There are a few models of Spyderco Knives that seem to come up often, and then there are some that never really seem to come up. The one that comes to mind right now is the Navaja. I own the Navaja and consider it to be absolute knife porn, I'd never sell it and I don't recall ever seeing one for sale in the classifieds. Another model you don't see often is the Vallaton and Citadel.

So, are these knives not seen often because they are poor sellers? Do owners simply refuse to sell such awesome knives? What are other models that are currently in production or just recently out of production that you never seen on the secondary market and why?

Thoughts?

Mine are neither rare or sprint runs, but I'll never still my mili, para 2, manix 2, or my endura I've had to sell my other knives but those will never go just because I like them so much for different reasons

Any one that I buy will never be sold. I have never sold a knife of any kind and definitely not a Spyderco.

+1 I've given knives away to friends and family, but I've never sold a knife. I have some that I don't like as much as others, but they all have a place in my collection.

It's probably a mixture of both. They don't sell extremely well because they appeal to a narrower demographic; and at the same time, the narrower demographic they appeal to absolutely love the knives, and hesitate to sell them.
This is just a guess, based on seeing popular knives that sell very well being sold off quite frequently.

Ti Fluted Militaries. I sold one on the forums once, but I bought it off of a dealer for about $220, and then sold it for $275. They are in limited production, but they are still produced. I like the fluted Ti, but the knife was wayyy too blue for me, I was expecting a greyish-green.

My navaja's been traded. :o Sorry OP, but for me, the Navaja's front choil seems... too ambiguous? To me, it's made for someone with really skinny fingers, who can fit two fingers there, or really fat fingers, and only fits one in the choil. The choil's not shaped right for me, and that kind of ruined the design for me personally. Although the rest of the knife was incredibly striking and well put together though. For me, I have an Endura that I will never trade, since it was my first Spyderco. And a Santa Fe Persian that I got for my birthday. Never really see Santa Fe's much, and is it just me, or do they not sell for their price on the Santa Fe website? Those are usually listed at around $250, but most I've seen go for a lot less, and I got mine for $100

I think most guys that have Millies in s90v and cpm m4 plan to keep them. I know I do.

They don't come up fs very often and when they do they're Not cheap.

That, and also the ones made in limited supplies.

The models they sold/made less of, the less you will see for sale.
The models they sold/made more of, the more you will see for sale.

I just don't think many people are buying those knives as compared to something like a Delica/Endura/Para 2, etc and that is why you don't see them for sale as often.

I bought my first Spyderco knives when they started sellin' knives in the beginning.

I bought their first knife, the Worker, I bought their first collaboration knife, the Terzuola/Spyderco Tactical, I've probably got 12-15 Spyderco's all are replaceable, some for a premium but still replaceable.

On the other hand those first 2, I rarely see, are they more collectable? collectableI don't know, I never bought 'em to collect, just to use.

I've seen about everything for sale at some point. Heck, I got my Vallotton on this forum.

The Citadel is not a common item probably because it is an automatic, which comes with some restrictions in most areas.

I have a Vallotton and really don't like it but haven't gotten around to selling it.

Most of my knives would go with the right price but some I will keep forever, for one reason or another.

I can't seem to let this one go.I don't know how many were made or how much it's worth currently.I purchased it around ten years ago. I don't know if it would be hard to find another.I like it and will keep it!

A few times this year I've seen navaja on the x. it's price has usually been within $10-15 of the cheapest found new online.
