Just looking for some input..

I haven't owned a Spyderco before, and I am looking for my first .. I am looking in the price range of about 50 - 60 dollars .. Overall length of about 6.5 - 7 inches ..

I have also been looking at the cheaper Byrd line as well..

Just wanted to see what styles you guys recommend

i have some byrd's. they are great value. i have the cara, cara, the raven, meadowlark. I also have a Spyderco endura and a delica. All are great knives. You shouldn't have any problems fitting in a Sypderco or a couple of Byrd's in your price range. If you get onto Spyderco's website they have both brands and good pic's and spec's.

My vote goes to the Endura.

Check out the Pacific Salt or the Native III.:thumbup:

Good luck,

For the length of blade you want a police 3 would be perfect for you, if a little over your budget.

To keep withing that shorter OAL, you might want to look at the Delica or Native. Great all-around EDC knives.

The regular line counter part to one of these....

The Delica 4 is perfect. It's 7" long and one of the best Spyderco designs, extremely ergonomic, features the Spyderhole and the Spyderedge. The best part is; it's in your price range. :D

Endura/Delica are both solid knives. For a little bit more you can look at the Salt lineup and go rustless, albeit at a drop in edge retention.

For that budget and that OAL, look at Spyderco Delica and Native.

I have the Endura 4, Native 4 and the Tenacious. All of them I'd recommend but especially the Tenacious. For only $30, it belies its low price. It is a very high quality knife at a low price which I like to call a "high-value" knife. It is made in China if that bothers you.

what do you want to use it for? personnaly i suggest you save a little more money and go with a civilian. its not for every day use though but what it does it does with frighting effectiveness.

Not anywhere close to the $50-60 range.
