What Spydercos are of similar size to the UK Pen Knife or Mini Griptilian?

Found some really great comparison pictures here

Love the size of my Ritter Mini Grip, and from what I've seen everything about the UK Pen Knife. ...Except that it has no lock.

How similar in size is the Mini Manix? I know it's larger, just having trouble visualizing it next to a mini ritter or UK Pen knife.

Ted's Spyderco site has this:

Just measure the bar, select the model, and you can see how big it actually is. To compare two models you don't have, just print screen (don't copy the image), paste in MS Paint or something, select another model, and repeat to see them side by side.

Thanks for the link, Th232! Great resource.

Keith, thanks. Now if I could just figure out why they released the Calypso III in VG-10 and the UK Pen Knife in S30V...

I'm not sure why either. The UK is made in the U.S., and the Caly III in Japan. I've had numerous Spydies with S30V and VG-10, and the VG-10 performs so well I'd say there's no big advantage to the S30V.

If you really want to go nuts, look around for the carbon fiber/ZDP 189 Caly III. I've got one, and it's very nice.

The Caly III is one of the sweetest EDCs out there , slices , dices , an decapitates mices . Its very grippy , and carries nice and flat .

Don't be too hasty to discount the UKPK due to lack of a true lock. The notch lock system on the tang makes it much harder to accidentally close than a standard slipjoint, and it has two other features that make it safer - a half stop, and full finger choil that lets the blade stop with the choil against your finger rather than the edge cutting into your finger. I find it to be a great design.

I have a mini-Ritter, too, and I carry the UKPK much more often. The ergonomics have to be experienced. And if you really insist on a lock, the Caly 3 is a good choice.

There are two knives in Spyderco line-up with 3" blade, which blow my mind every time I hold them in my hand. It is Caly3 (I have both versions, but EDC only VG10) and mini Persian. Both knives have excellent design, fit and finish. I cannot imagine production knife in this price range any better.
This beauty is C-105 75mm Persian, AKA mini Persian. Picture by WhyNot
