What Spyderco knives have gone up in value the most?

Also, of the current Spyderco line-up in production now, does anyone want to speculate on which of those will rise in value the most?

Without a doubt the para 2 s90v cf sprint run. From what I heard they sold for $180 from dealers, about 2 years ago they were going for around $280 on the exchange, and starting 5-6 months ago they started going for $350-450. As much as I'm dying to carry/use mine I can see the value continue to appreciate as years go by.

The original Manixes and some of the sprint/dealer exclusive Military pieces (Ti/G10, for example) have doubled in value. The blue Manix 2, which I bought and sold at around $120 is now fetching in the range of $240+. The orange Military is heading north too. Thank goodness I have two. :) Its just hard to tell whats going to appreciate, though its a good chance that the sprint/DE Paras and Millies will appreciate. I pretty much buy at least one of every flavor, and sometime two.

Well, a $125 Forum Military just sold on eBay for $720 but who knows if another would come anywhere near that. OTOH, some versions of the Q which originally had a $50 MSRP and generally sold for $30 or less now routinely bring over $300, and occasionally over $400, so I'd rank them #1.

Ti ATRs....?

Yes indeed the Titanium ATR models truly do fetch far more than they did even 3 years ago. Many models from that era have exploded on the price front. Even my dearly beloved Temperance 1 model fetches some serious change now-a-days.

Just about any of the Lum models produced 2003 and earlier.

Even the original Ayoob model in SE would not be cheap by any means. The G-10 Harpy is almost cost prohibitive because I've been looking hard for a replacement to the one I lost or got stolen.

The original Perrin Street Bowie is demanding high prices as well. The Stainless RESCUE models are all but impossible to find and do get high prices when you find them.

You don't have to look too far in the past line up of great old Spyder models to see that they have given a really decent return on their initial investment.

Ti ATRs....?
Desirable, definitely - lots of folks want one. Expensive, definitely - but, while I'll admit I don't follow eBay sales all that much anymore, I've yet to see one sell for much over its original $300 MSRP and can't recall seeing one bring double it's original $200 street price. Not to mention prices plateaued at that point a month or two after it was discontinued. While a lot of models never even achieve that, it's still relatively low on the scale of "going up in value", at least to me.

Sprint Manix 2s, Sprint Para 2s, Lum Tantos, Phoenix and the Barong are some that come to mind.

I have heard that the limited edition nutinfancy spray painted tenacious has gone up the most this year.:) If I had only bought one of those instead of my Orange para2, darn.
