What steel are you buying with your tax return?

Its that time again. Since tax season has officially opened, I wonder what blades everyone is buying with their returns. Or what blades your selling to pay uncle Sam.....


Me I'll be getting a 0561, a bk-4-15-16-17, and if there is enough left after my wife buys dumb stuff, maybe a fiddleback bushfinger. What about you guys?
 
Not sure yet. May throw it towards a nice Spydie. I gotta see how much it is first lol.
 
Tax refunds? A bad excuse for a good saving plan. I structure my tax obligations so I pay the feds when it is time, they don't hold my money interest free until they have to give it back to me. Wise money management means MORE money to spend on steel.
 
I haven't had a refund in 14 years, in fact despite the fact I pay the recommended max every quarter I still wind up owing at the end of the year. Refund, fuf, dare to dream.
 
Now that I am married and the fact that my wife is self-employed I don't think we'll be getting much of any kind of a refund for a long time unfortunately.

Ouch! My wife and I claim 0 exemptions even though we are married with a child just so we know we will get some back.. I know, I know, I shouldn't let the gov't use my money all year, but oh well...

Unfortunately, no knives from the return, I have to pay the CC's off from buying during the year....:o
 
I'm going to finally get around to picking up that benchmade MPR that I've put off getting for so long as well as a new rifle :D
 
Strider SMF, Edge pro apex 4, maybe a enfield or m1 carbine and the rest is going toward a Hinderer XM-24 when the new batch is up this spring. i love blowing money!
 
D2 and some nice Damascus bolster material mammoth teeth black lip pearl I got several edc and gents folders to build in the near future
 
There are 4 new condor knives I have to buy, they are coming out with some cool stuff this year. I will have the first machax I can find online as well. I actually just got my hip replaced and have a lot of free time on my hands so I may just end up with a couple more....... An idle mind is the devils playground! ;)
 
I got a bunch of chinese knives (SRM, Enlan, Ganzo and Navy). The rest went on getting ahead on the rent etc.
 
Just got tan CPM M4 Manix2; want S90V or M390, or another M4 soon in a shorter knife. Manix2 is much more "robust" than my Caly3; a bit too large and long for my hand. I prefer a cutting edge of less than 3", which the Manix2 has, but I am having difficulty "handling" this knife.

Not much coming back this year, and with the price increases of pretty much everything I think this might be the first year in a LLOONNGG time where I don't buy a knife.
 
Arrgghhh - i'm in the process of figuring out how much more i have to *pay*..... I try to "aim" my tax-payment's such that i get a very small return. This year i don't think i "aimed" enough at 'em!!! Oh well, maybe next year.
