What Steel does Bahco use in their Wrecking Knives? (also folders if anyone knows?)

It's not a secret to most that Mora makes th Bahco knives. So there should not be a mystery as to the steel used, it is the same steel used on Mora knives.

Thanks. Where did you find that out? I haven't found that out for sure anywhere. Also what of the folders? Morakniv makes no folders. Also who does their wrecking knives? Such as this one

or this one

The folks at BushcraftUK and other similar forums have discussed the topic in greater detail than what is found here. If you need solid proof, you can email Mora and they will verify. Not sure who makes the wrecking knife or the folders. Also, do not start duplicate threads, it doesn't get your questions answered any faster. If it is urgent, I recommend emailing or calling the company directly.

This is a branch off question from a pervious post. It seems to be Mora who makes Bahco's fixed blades for the most part, but what about their wrecking knives? Mora doesn't make anything that looks like that as far as I'm aware.

Also what steel are they? I have seen the reviews and it's definitely great steel and worth trying, but if anyone knows some exacts, I would appreciate it.

Wasn't trying to start duplicate threads. I felt that it was a subquestion that was best asked separately. See, cause the wrecking knife is a different knife and seems to not be made by Mora.

^im sure the purchasing guy at bahco knows or whoever cut the deal with mora......but the csr doesn't. Not so uncommon in any business now a days. Some are interested in what their companies do and others just collect paychecks and don't have any interest in much else. It is what it is......

Haha yeah, the answer I got was "The steels are proprietary and all knives are either made by Bahco or an approved vendor". That's not sketch at all lol.
