I read on gerberstore website that the full size is made of 425M, and the covert is made of 154CM, is that correct? Seems pretty strange that the covert is made of a better steel than fullsize, which probaby will see more abuse than covert.

If that correct, guess I should've bought the covert, or found bladeforum earlier. :grumpy:

The large one is 425M and they have done the smaller Covert in both.

For what it's worth, one of my best friends carried both sizes over many years in the Army (they both look like heck from years of use in the field!), including the initial invasion of Iraq and then did a second tour that added together was about 3 years, Both of his were 425M, and while I often see it looked down on, his did just fine. His full size one has been every where from Bosnia to South America multiple times and is still going strong.

After his return from Iraq the second time, he gave me his Covert and I occasionally carry it and it's a good knife. It's not very southpaw friendly though, the pocket clip can't be reversed.
