What strop compound after DMT Fine

I think I may need to rethink this. I use a Duo Sharp DMT benchstone. After looking at their site I think the Fine is 25 microns. Originally I wanted to go straight to a 1 micron compound or spray on a cheap double sided leather strop (not a Razor Strop). Well I guess this isn't a good idea since that is probably a big leap. Any thoughts on a good compound to use to make the blade a little more polished or a bit sharper?

Nah, 1um it.

Strops are enhancers not creators.
So if 1um is not making the edge better it's due to being a poor edge off the DMT fine. Adding additional strop grits is not going to make up for a poor apex.

Even though it's a leap, go ahead and try the 1 micron spray/paste after dmt fine, you might like it.
Some use it after dmt coarse and report good results.

I would find it easier than getting another large DMT benchstone in EEF grit.
