What style martial art for new wakizashi user?

I have been collecting blades for quite some time and have always wanted to learn some form of martial art. The wakizashi interests me more than the katana at this point in time. What style martial art utilizes the wakizashi? What style would be a good starting point for learning?

Also, I have read many debates concerning which is better Kris Cutlery vs. Paul Chen Practical series. It seems that both are closely matched in price and quality.
I am going to purchase either a Kris Cutlery basic wakizashi ($125) or the Paul Chen 4th Generation Practical Wakizashi ($100). Which one would be most suitable and is there much difference? Safety construction and overall durability seem to be the key issues.

For specific wakizashi use, you should find a Japanese Sword Arts instructor. For smallish sword use in general, them Filipinos know a thing or two about how to do it right! Look for Kali/Eskrima in your area. I always thought that a Wakizashi would make a nice FMA weapon, though I'd be tempted to change the handle/tang somewhat.

As for Kris Cutlery vs. Chen practical line, it is up to you. Both are traditional looking-ish, but not really versions of a real wakizashi. Note that you cannot take the handle and other furniture off of the practical wakizashi. The handle is epoxied on.
