Saw this in a town fair parking lot. Like the look of it. No badges. Aftermarket wheels.

TIA,
D

Yep, hardtop samurai. Helped my uncle a bit when he built his. Great little OHV's. Emphasis on little.

Yup that's a Sammy alright. One of the greatest offroading machines of all time. They are cheap and super easy to modify for extreme rock crawling and such.

Yep, Suzuki Samurai. I believe it was the precursor to the Suzuki Sidekick in the North American market. Great little SUV from what I've heard as far as off road capabilities. They were quite popular where I grew up in Trinidad. I had quite a few surfer buddies that owned and loved them. The only negative I remember guys saying about some of these small Suzukis like the Samurai and their micro van the Carry, was their high center of gravity and light weight made them a bit scary on highways and corners.

Yup. If you like that boxy look a Jeep Cherokee XJ with a 4.0 inline six will serve you even better. I'll never sell mine. Less worry of roll over too .

My cousin rolled one of those, taking a corner too fast at an intersection.

I buddy of mine customized one with heavy duty bumpers including a front towing coupler and rear mounted feeder that he tows behind his truck to his hunting place. They aren't much bigger than a side by side ATV.

Here's my uncles rig. His parents bought it brand new and that is the original paint. It was bone stock until he got it.

Exactly what I was getting at. Pretty easy to roll, and you FEEL it when a big rig rolls past you on the highway! Unsettling to say the least.

Nope. It gets flat bed treatment to the trail. Strictly around town or hunting rig. My '66 VW is faster than it....stock. :D

I believe it! Those little 1.3 were rated at like 68hp from the factory; add on the years of wear and tear and a lot more un-sprung mass and I don't care how much you re-gear, you aint going no where in a hurry:D

As it sits now, you're looking at a 55mph speed demon! That's with a tail wind and a down grade. It'll climb up a tree if you let it though! It serves it's intended purpose quite admirably. Quickly, it will not! Btw, my '66 is rated at 53hp, when new. I've got a fresh engine but a single small carb so consider it around 47hp. Speed demon it ain't.
