What 'team' of blades do you carry into the woods??

Hey guys, I have recently been trying to find the perfect team of blades to perform best in the woods. Im trying stuff like Kukris, skandis, axes/tomahawks... Just something to perfectly compliment my Beckers.

The Idea is to get something to Chop/split/baton well with and something to perform finer tasks like carving/skining and something for anything else you might need to do, while maintaining a relativly low weight. I am still searching for the perfect combination but recently I tried a BK-9, BK-10, and a sawvivor.

So, I was wondering what knives/tools do you feel you can carry into the woods and do every job with.
Kinda like a Nessmuk trio, but Beckerish. (IMHO, Nessmuks are to ugly so I didn't want to call it that) :D

Please post pics, though you don't have to because I cant. :grump

Thanks

-Josh

My current group as of snow melt. Has done me good, The hawk and BK7 stay with my pack unless I'm doing something with them and the BK11 stays in my boot with a TDI clip.

But it's ever evolving, I want to change the 7 for a 9, the Trail Hawk for a Pipe or Riflemans Hawk(also picked up a folding saw on the cheap to try it out) and I've been keeping a 5 inch Grohmann on my belt because my 11 sheath dulls my blade.

Side note: Love those Nessmucks! Hunting buddy of my old man made one out of a leaf spring of a Ford F-150 Custom. Has had it for decades and doesn't use anything else.

I'm still in the process of figuring things out, but right now I'm taking a Corona saw (10in), BK2 and a Mora. Since I usually camp out of my jeep, I'm also looking into a large knife like a BK9, KaBar Cutlass Machete, or KaBar ZK War Sword for batoning the larger logs that I usually find laying around.

It will be interesting to see what is most popular around here.

Also... if you want to post photos, you can use imageshack. I've managed to post photos even though I'm not a gold member thanks to it :).

I change my mind so much I can't even tell you what blades I use.

Most the time my BK7 gets out for sure....

haha I just cant get over the way they look, they could be the most useful knife in the world and I would never know haha

I like my 9/11 Combo...BK9 / BK11 ! I sent both to a friend & custm knife maker -Mark Wohlwend for a piggyback kydex sheat system so I can wear both together ! When I'm out I always have 2 pocket knives, usually my Spyderco Endura4 waved PE & always a Vic. SAK (either a alox soldier or Hiker). While my BKs are away I'm packing my Condor Golok & Wohlwend EDC along with my pocket knives !

I think my finished combo is going to end up.
Condor Golok on my pack, BK 5 on my side, Bk2 Tweener as a necker.

My Becker Trio is a BK2. I would say others, but that is all ya really need.

I'm with Flexxx in that I have a lot to choose from. Usually is a trio tho, a large blade/ machete, medium size belt knife and a slippie in my pocket, or sak hiker. I have a multitool in my pack as well.

If its a team game, and i can carry alot, its one of these combos, depending on how much wood i will process. If i need to pack light, then just the wave and the bk2. I dont ever wanna leave home without a bk2 (but i will if the bk10 is there)
