I have an older 110 and a couple of cheap Chinese Buck folders, but I have never really got into Buck knives. Dunno why. Maybe I have been more of a “tactical” knife guy.
A local retailer was blowing out some great (IMO) and fairly obscure USA Bucks, so I had to buy one of each. Ok, I have another 102 still in its box.
I really like all 4 (5!)of these knives. The 102 will be great for small game and fish and the 103 for bigger game and more of an all around camp knife. It is a “skinner” but it will be a very useful knife for much more.
The 546 is a bit goofy looking with the big partial scales, it I find it very ergonomic, it has a rock solid lockup, perfect centering and a cool albeit big and heavy knife. The 286 Bantam is an unbelievable value for a USA Made knife. $15? That’s crazy. These two will also get lots of use - mainly in the woods.
Just waiting for a Selkirk, a 119 and a 110 to go on sale to add to the collection.
Here is a crappy iPhone pic of the 4....
