I was wondering if you guys can help me out here,, i love damascus, everything about it! i have been doing as much research as possible on it. I keep seeing different damascus bars and blanks for sale in numerous places.
so i was on ebay and see all this damascus for sale in knives and in bars.
whats the difference in the real expensive stuff from well known makers compared to the stuff on ebay? they have the same amount of layers and are mostly made from the same high and low carbon steels such as 1095 and 15n20 and are the same kind of patterns.
so if buying the damascus bars what should i look for?
