Hello gentlemen of bladeforums!

So i have a addiction to Ken Onion Kershaw knives and especially the stud lock bump knives. I have been looking for and just bought a aluminum bump and the seller let me know immediately that it had s30v steel and claimed that he bought it several years ago and it was just sitting in his safe not being used. I wasn't aware of any aluminum s30v bumps (and research found nothing) but decided i still wanted the knife. So it gets here today and I pull out a totally brand new aluminum bump with 1596 s30v and aug 07 stamped on the black coated blade. The box says 1595ALBLK. So just a simple blade swap right? Not so fast, this knife is in such good shape the pivot screw doesn't have the tiniest mark on it, the blade is perfectly centered and the knife functions perfectly. I have seen cobbled together knives that questionable people have put together and if thats the case here it was done by someone that took their time, OR it was done by Kershaw. So.....what do you guys think i have here? Just a simple swapped blade knife done after purchase, or is it possible that this was done by Kershaw? Maybe a mistake or maybe a customer return...

Thanks guys!

BTW this is not a slam the seller thread, he represented the knife well and the price was fair and i'm happy with the purchase regardless, just curious!
