I am very curious to see if anyone knows anything about this steel. I am especially interested in how it compares to AUS8 ans ATS34. THANKS A WHOLE BUNCH

It is a new steel CRKT is using, can't remember which model(s). It is a fairly high carbon content steel, with a lot of chromium in it. Should hold edge better than AUS6 or AUS8, due to carbon content and higher chrome.

There is a bit of info on it on CRKT's web page. This URL is directly to the Steel Facts page. I'm thinking I remember something on the page(s) on new knives, that discusses the steel a bit, but could easily be wrong. Anyhow, here is URL:

Hope this helps. Since it is a new steel, am afraid you're not likely to find out a great deal about it, unless you can find manufacturer's website.
