What the heck is this???

Bowie type knife, ebony handle, bottom of blade has special forces insignia and MACVSOG Insignia, other side shows made in Japan. Can someone please help me out and tell me what this is?

sounds like a copy of the SOG knives that were made in limited supply for Viet Nam special forces. Wasnt a very good knife but they are valuable today as collectors items. They were sterile,though and had no markings.
