I got this email from a Russian email addy, I have not opened the link or anything. Could this have come from here?

It was from a "Luis Pequeno". I don't know if that's a real person though.

Hi. I got the same email. I immediately deleted it unread.

It's the internet. They have innumberable means of aggregating email addresses and sending off messages that might get them a response.

Do not respond, not even to remove yourself from the list. Responding confirms that your address is live and they and their "marketing partners" will continue to send email to you.
 
I found it in my spam folder, where my filters put it. Subject "Hello!! I heard you like knives" sender Luis Pequeno

I don't think he got our addresses here ... the way the Bladeforums software works now even when you use the system to send email to a member it doesn't show you the member's email address....

I got it as well. Stupid bastard had better hope I don't find out who he is. Not only did he get my primary email that I use on this site he got my 2 other email addresses as well that are strictly for business.

I got the email, but only on a secondary email site I use. I don't have that address listed anywhere here but I do have it listed on another knife forum. I figured the spammer got it there.

I got his damn spam today. It got through the SEC's formidable firewall and that's impressive. Nonetheless, he should walk the plank if it turns out that he is a member.
 
I spoke Luis Pequeno today. I informed him that I recieved 3 unsolicited emails from his place of business. I also informed him that alot of people I know are as pissed off as I am. I asked him to remove me from his list and that I wanted the name of the company he got his list from as I will be contacting them as well. He refused to give it to me stating that he cannot disclose his source. I'm wondering if there is any legal action we take.

In the meantime....everyone please call this douchebag and slam the crap out of him. The email came from a personal account and not the company email. I'm sure if we make enough noise they'll disclose their source. If not maybe he'll be scared enough to never do it again.
