They don’t get dull! I’ve used this thing for breaking down cardboard boxes quite a bit lately at home and work and the thing doesn’t dull! What kind of witchcraft is this!? All my others dull like crazy when breaking down cardboard (expected). Voodoo. I’m telling you.

The Delta 3V formula was conceived at the crossroads of Hwy 49 and Hwy 61 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. It is rumored that Robert Johnson and Mephistopheles were in attendance as witnesses.

Lotsa voodoo in those blades.

I felt the exact same way when I got into Carothers. I kept hearing such great things about them and following along on the sub here. Then in 2017 I was able to score an HDFK on one of the Friday sales. Prior to this my experience with fixed blades had been knives around $100 you could pick up at a local sporting goods store. It was impressive upon receiving, but after the kind of use and abuse I put it through camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing trips, etc. I found myself saying the same thing. What kind of voodoo has been done this? They are unlike anything I had ever used.
7 years of steady use.

I may have to find one of those DEK2 eventually. They look like a knife that would carry pretty well and still handle rough use well.

SHHHH!!!! Enough with this talk! CPKs are hard enough to get already, you wanna increase the competition?!?

They are definitely hard to get. Probably even harder now than back then, but the increased demand has allowed Nathan to increase production capacity that is getting much more of his work out there into the hands of users. And the amount of CPK on the secondary in the exchange has allowed more opportunities to pick them up too. Plus when it’s time to jump in a sale, who doesn’t enjoy just trying to get one?! I do. I know there’s a few who don’t like the rush sales, but it doesn’t bother me. If you don’t score, wait two weeks and try again.

It was a joke. I love seeing the success of CPK and I have been able to acquire the CPKs I own without much trouble and without paying ridiculous prices, as long as I'm willing to be patient. 😉

I've only purchased one from another member...at which time I thought I overpaid. Now it seems as if I got a bargain in retrospect.

That said, I've not put any of the small collection I own up for sale and don't anticipate doing so.

Luckily my current CPK collection (FK2, DEK2 and BSDFK) were purchased at or below Nathan’s price. For the quality, material, performance, and the fact that Nate stands behind his work 110% it’s actually a great bargain.

I doubt you got them below Nathan's cost, but you may have gotten them below his price. ☺️ 🍻

(Apologies. You learn to be precise when battling defense attorneys from the witness stand. 🤣 )

Those are made by Tony Renfrow(?) I believe, Also known as TRfromMT. I had a set of Osage Orange scales made by him that were on my old HDFK. I’m not sure if he’s active on here anymore.
I think he's moved on from this sub-forum...but I believe I not too long ago saw a post from him in the Spyderco arena. (Yes, they're his scales...which he installed when I purchased the HDFK from him a couple years back.)
