I just finish planting a couple of bushes, and used my user AS to slit a few thin plastic pots open so I could easily remove the plant and the dirt with it.
I've seen these post elsewhere, but I can't remember seeing them in this forum. So what's the last thing you used your Busse for? (if you want to cheat and not actually write about your latest, but rather a recent use because it's more interesting, that would be cool too)

I used my HR to cut some of the frayed ends of off the rope I was using to tie a 6' parabolic dish to the rack of a van.

I then spent 5 minutes explaining Busse/SRKW to a video production tech. :)

But if I include last weekend, I have to submit these:

I use mine all the time, the last real test of INFI was a month or so ago... deep in the backcountry camping. It was eary in the morning and I had just put the coffee on... fog moved across my campsite and I was having a hard time opening my eyes. Then all of a sudden it hit me.... no can opener for the milk!!!!

I stabbed two holes into the can with my Steel Heart... worked like a charm and saved the morning. :D

I used my Howling Fat to open the box containing my Bandicoot and Satin Jack Tac. Then I used the Jack to cut some bubble wrap and tape and then I used the Bandicoot to open an envelope.

Hey it ain't glamorus, but its what I do:)

I use my Prototype Rat Trap daily for many common things. Opening boxes, cutting paracord, cutting tape etc. Nothing glamorous, nothing showy, just fine knives for everyday tasks.

:D:D

:( :( I havn't used mine for anything yet.....cause I don't have any of em yet :grumpy: I got 4 on the way though :D :D :D but.....I did use my Scrade 34 OT to open boxes....I know, I know what the hell am I posting about a little pocket knife here for...but Dammit! I feel like a little kid at a candy counter, barely able to see over the glass....not able to touch any of it! John

i used my meaner street to make a pop can stove. starting to really appreciate this knife for its utility. the negative thing is my satin finish is more of a scratch finish with all the tough cutting i have been doing with this knife

I used my SFNO last weekend on a campout, used it to chop wood and used it to split numerous pieces of hickory, I actuallY had to take another piece of the wood to use to hammer and drive the SFNO through the hickory logs splitting them, the blade functioned flawlessly, undamaged (of course), and still had a nice sharp edge

it will be going through the same abuse this weekend on another campout

:D

Recently I carved a spoon with my Howling Rat. Sadly it was more than a month ago and since then I did not have the chance to use it. Damn work! :D

I used my DC AS to de-vein some jumbo shrimp yesterday.

Perfect knife for the job. Sliced those bad boys right open.

My AS was used to field dress a 8 point buck last night. My friend shot it with a bow. Him and another guy and I walked waaaaay back in the overgrown woods to where he fell. They each had fixed blades with 5-6" blades, one with a gut hook. They were mangling the deer  . I handed him my AS. He laughed and ran it down the chest and belly of the deer just to humor me. They are now both looking into Busse knives.

I really regret not taking my BM or HOFSH to cut the pole that we used to haul the deer out with. :(

I wacked of all the small branches off the trunk of my apple and silver maple trees last weekend with my DABA, my idea of prunning.

If you choke way back on the handle it makes a pretty good chopper.

My LMS gets alot of box opening and shaving splinters off my deck rails.

The others weight down my safe, so it don't run away with my stuff.

:D

Yesterday I used my SFNO to trim overhanging branches (to keep them off of the electric fences). The cows come in to nibble the foliage, and then get zapped by the fence, which doesn’t seem entirely fair. If the trees are trimmed, then the cows don’t have a reason to get to close to the 5,000 Volts. The only problem with trimming trees near the electric fencing is that you have to get close to the fencing with a big piece of steel in your hand. I suppose I could turn the fence off first, but that would take the adventure out of the job.

My Magnum SFNO, before I sold it: I chopped an unsafe, rickety wood ladder into bits small enough to fit into the dumpster.

My shiny new Camp Tramp: cut onions and potatoes for a stew. Pretty mundane, but I use a knife in the kitchen much more often than I chop wood, and vegetable-slicing is a good test of edge sharpness on thicker blades.

On Monday Kim and I had lunch in a little greek restaurant. Kim had a large hamburger with everything, and needed it cut into quarters so she could handle it. I pulled my Rat Trap from my left pocket, flipped it open, and cut the burger. As I was wiping the grease off, I noticed a young guy at a nearby table really eyeing the knife. Maybe I should have been more discreet about opening it. :D

Carry of this large blade is perfectly legal here. I have used it in this restaurant several times and have never received any negative comment, and this place is usually full of law enforcement at lunchtime. The bug-eyed stare from this guy is the only negative reaction of any kind I have had. And maybe he was just wishing that he had a Rat Trap too.

I last used my Bandicoot to dress out a road killed buck deer. Unzipped him and split the pelvis like it was butter.
