My understanding (limited), is that the numbers and letters on the inside of the slab are the lot identification.

My follow-up question is this: Why does my large classic not have the ridges and grooves running down the sides of your slabs? What size and style is your's?

Thanks for the info Gob, what part of Washington are you in?

Lachine - that's a sweet blade - is that the standard blade for the Regular?

A good place to post this would be in the Chris Reeve's forum in the manufactures section to get the definitive answer.

But it’s was my understanding that the “B” is for standard production runs (if it had a “P” it would be a prototype) and that the two digits following signify the year of production. So I would say that your knife is a production knife made in 2000.

So what does "A" mean? Also a standard production? Or is this a marking of Classic "A", and Regular "B"?

The markings simply refer to the lot number the slabs came from. For internal use only at CRK.

My Large Classic is also stamped B 00, so it's definitely not Classic A vs. Regular B deal.
