Recently sent out emails to three(3) what I would call "High End" companies. Two(2) were for knives the other knife related.
Two(2) of those companies I have not heard back from despite multiple email attempts.

I sent one(1) email to Rick Hinderer (late last night) and received a very helpful, very detailed, very nice reply (from Rob) before I woke up this morning.
No wonder these guys have the reputation they do. Yes, the knives and other product(s) are top notch BUT the service IMO is what makes this organization stand out.
I've run into many organizations that produce highly sought after products AND they act like it.
Obviously NOT the case with Rick's organization. Bravo and Thank You.
Means a lot. Especially these days.
 
I agree with you 100%. I'm very new to the knife enthusiast community and contacted Rob with a number of newbie questions regarding refinishing Hinderers. Rob's response was extremely prompt, informative, and courteous.

Rick's organizations reputation for top notch customer service after the sale is certainly well deserved.
 
Ive had some questions that could easily be seen as unimportant but I always get a quick, thorough answer which I really appreciate. Definitely one of my favorite things about Rick Hinderer Knives. Great product, and great service to back em up.

Rick and Rob keep things down to earth. I know exactly what you mean about companies or people who give the impression that they're dealing with you from Mount Olympus and you make you keenly aware of it.

I've emailed Rob mostly, with some of the dumbest & small issues but he's never made me feel like anything but a fellow knife nut and a valued customer. Rick's operation is a class act all the way!! :thumbup:

I can't get interested enough to pull the trigger on another knife the last year or so, I just want more Hinderers! :D

I know the feeling. I used to dream of custom Striders or other knives,.. now I'm dreaming about custom ground Hinderers.

It's refreshing to see a company with such attention to the customer, and attention to the quality of their product.

I hear you.

I recently contacted Rob regarding a knife purchase and got a very prompt reply. I was surprised that I got such a quick reply but what was even more amazing was how quickly my knife arrived. I was very pleased with the service I received and would recommend Rick and his knives without hesitation.

I was introduced to the world of hand made/high end knives four years ago. At first it was strange to be treated with such courtesy as my experience with buying knives was the rather impersonal experience one gets at your local sporting goods store. I went to my first knife show with the guy that helped me buy my first high end knife. I was amazed at how friendly everyone was and had a good time. I've only missed one show in the years since and I look forward to the shows each year. It is fun to see and chat with the makers and other enthusiasts I have meet at previous shows and to talk about knives and such. I have meet several makers and have gotten to know them well and even would go so far as to call one of them a friend.

Welcome to a whole new world of knife collecting. i hope you find it as enjoyable as I have.
 
The crew sure does know what Service is.With a capital s that is.

Agreed completely, and the new website is extremely nice as well, a great improvement over the prior site.

Hinderer is one of the most service-oriented companies in the whole gun/knife/tactical industry....they're first-class, all the way!
 
The service at Hinderer has always been great. I think it has moved up a notch or 2 more with the addition of Rob. He really does an excellent job of customer service(and great photos too).
