What to buy with my $110?

I have $110 to spend on something. I was considering either getting a Nitecore Infilux IFE1, or a benchmade 710. I'm more partial to the Nitecore, because I already have a pretty nice collection of knives, but I only have one nice flashlight. What do you guys think?

The 710 is a classic and will no doubt serve you well.

I'm not a flashlight guy so I can't help you with the other half of your dilemma.

Well. Since this is the General Knife Discussion subforum of BladeForums, I'm gonna gonna go out on a limb, and guess the consensus here may be "knife."

And also guess that you will get suggestions for many different knives.

I may be old fashioned here but, .. before we had lights or fire, we slashed back and forth with a blade! It used to work I swear.

Go with the light, if you've already got a nice knife collection. A good flashlight is an invaluable tool, just like your carry knife.

Well considering you already have a decent knife collection, I'd go with the flashlight.

Or do both and buy a Kryptoglow scale that glows in the dark for one of your knives you already have that you can customize. :p

Becker 9 inch chopper.

Folders are inherently broken to start with. Unless you already have a great chopper, that's what I'd buy. It's on my short list.

That's an easy choice, you only need a flashlight when it's dark. Therefore, you can get by without one about 75% of the time. That's 3/4 of your life you don't need a flashlight.

However, you ALWAYS have to cut stuff...I think. Anyway, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :D

Not my choice but you could go with a combo and kill multiple birds with one stone: Tool Logic Quick SL Pro 3 knife offers a razor sharp partially serrated 3" blade, emergency whistle and LED flashlight with a diamond sharpener. Seriously, always carry a flashlight and get it as small and as powerful as you can afford. You can temporarily blind assailants. General Knife Discussion may not be the place for it though.

I like my knives too much to replace them with that. And I like the variable output of the Nitecore.

Have you ever tried cutting something with a flashlight?

Poetically, the dark. It's a case of fulfilling a need i.e. if one need has already been fulfilled then why not fulfill a different one?
