Well I agonized over what to take with me on my trip to Sundsvall Sweden this weekend, made it here by the way!, and it boiled down to three knives that made the trip, as opposed to the eight or nine that normally have on at any given moment.

The easy one, Swiss Army Knives, the Executive model, never without it and it's probably the longest owned knife of mine...

William Henry Carbon Fiber Lancet, picked this one as it's soooo light and clips to your shirt pocket so very nicely and the edge you can get on these is a very good cutting knife, and I figured when I threw it into the change basket no one would even give it a second glance, lucky for me it worked!

Next I needed, I guess I needed...

, a larger knife for what ever might need cutting when I got here, but the quandry was what to take that if perchance it became taken by authorities I wouldn't cry too much, but it had to be slick as well, something that Swedenites might not have seen before, so it was the Kershaw Random Task, but not as CARRY ON, I packed it in my suitcase and picked it up on arrival.

So there, I sure feel naked without my other favorite knives, and I left instructions for my wife to check on them everyday for me....

Gary,

Glad to hear that you arrived safely. You better hope your wife doesn't hock all of your knives. I am in the process of buying back your shinto katana from her right now, at a killer price

Take care and have a safe trip home.

Darn. Wish I had known you were going, I would have sent you some money to pick up something for me. Have fun.

Hope you're having fun, Gary. I'll bet you'll miss those other William Henry's, no wonder I got such a bargain

Criminey, it's like you never even left.

Where the heck are you posting from? Get home soon, I miss my chat buddy.

Don't get caught carrying or you could wind up being the soap guy in a Swedish prison....

HAH you guys are killin' me, and Thanks Louis, I miss my wives and kids but really miss that sword I JUST GOT, so no take backs!

Well lets just say that the local folks at the plant just stared at my Random Task and said Ohhh that is sooo illegal here! I said, nah, it's not a switchblade, they just looked at me and shook their heads....I took it from it's clipped position and dropped it into my pocket, as you are not really allowed to walk abroad with a knife, but they aren't actively looking for you but why give them something to notice?

Yes, miss all my favorite knives, but from, the looks around here, I won't be bringing much in the way of knives home! Oh well, it's 10:30pm over here now, just got out of work, they are keeping me late to make the best use of me, thanks for the soap tip Greg!

Heading home on Saturday out of Stockholm early, can't wait, had Reindeer steak tonight for dinner, pretty good stuff.

You guys keep me cheered up!

MADED IT HOME!.....now a quick count, yep still have the three knives I left with, depended a lot on the William Henry Carbon Fiber for most all my cutting chores and wasn't dissapointed.

Nice to be home!!
