Okay, this question is about Emerson knives. What can be done so there will be no movement of the blade going towards the liner when opening?, there is alot of space between the blade and liners, compared to some other knives I have had. Would really thick washers work?, if so where could I find some?, and also what would it cost to have someone put them in?, any other things it could be?, thanks in advance..

there should be a washer on both sides to keep the liners spaced away from the blade. if the blade is moving into the liner, make sure the washer is there, and make sure the screw is tight that passes through the liners and the blade to keep everything in line.

I own 3 Emerson folders. Two of them are Commanders and both have the same problem you are speaking about. When you open the blade using the thumb disk, the blade rubs on the liner, as it is pressed to open. The Commanders are very suseptible to blade wobble if the pivot screw is not exactly set. Just keep playing with it so the blade is tight enough to not allow too much wobble, and still open easily.

I cannot understand why Emmerson does not correct this problem as I do not have this situation with any other of my many many production folders.

who could I sent it to to have thicker washers put in??.
