What to do about my HCLE?

I love the look and feel of my HCLE and have been wanting to edc it since the day if came. Have some nice BuyBrown kydex for it... Still haven't been able to wear it though. It was never a huge deal as I knew it wasn't the best idea to edc it because of where I worked. Well I'm no longer there and have nothing keeping me from edcing the HCLE except one single issue.

I can't get it sharp!

Came as factory new from the fs section of this forum and was dull when it got to my door. Has been dull everyday since... I have tossed everything I have at it. I don't have a lot but I can get what I feel is a decent edge on all of my ScrapYard 154CM blades. I'm touching up SR101 and Infi just fine. I can even see improvement in my sharpening skill everytime I go after my Scrappers.. Im always thinking that maybe I can finally get an edge on my HCLE. A day or two later I'm still at day one with the HCLE edge. Nothing is working.

My frustration is that I really want this knife to work for me but I have to be able to get it sharp and keep it sharp enough for daily use. I'm fine with sending it off but i hate the thought of not being able to touch it up after a day of use.

Have you guys noticed any difference between SYKC 154 and Swamp 154? Im doing all the same stuff and it's just not working on the HCLE.

I open to suggestions but I'm hoping to not have to spend much to get this one right. And my main concern is if I can keep this blades edge up on a daily basis? So far the answer seems to be no. :(

I struggled with knife sharpening for a lot of years until I broke down and bought a 2x48 belt sander. Put a speed control on it, got belts from 150 through 800 grit as well as two leather belts and rouge. Now I can quickly and easily obtain hair popping edges on anything including my HCLE4. Best move I ever made.

I use my HCLE4.0 for a EDC work knife and with a fine convex edge it slices great but heavy use such as cutting a lot of plastic banding will dull it, but Just hit it on the leather belt and your back in businesses.

I have used a Sharpmaker & it seams to work pretty good on all of them.

Now a days though I usually use my KMG grinder though :)

I wanted to grab a wicked edge a year or so ago and kept talking myself out of it. don't think I can swing that anytime soon.

I may just need to send this one off and see if I can keep it touched up when I get it back. short of investing in a new sharpening system and getting some skill I can't see this one getting up to par here with me.
