What to do about rough scales

I have a Tac-Lite which I dearly love except for one very annoying problem. The scales are so rough that it is very difficult to withdraw from the pocket. Anybody have this similar problem and how did you resolve it. Thanks in advance. Richard

Hello Richard,
San Diego eh? I've heard of that place before.
Those Tac-lites have textured g-10 sides. It is very agressive. I have heard of folks sanding down some of the textureing but I have also heard that the dust is toxic so you need to use proper equipment.
Hopefully someone here has done it before and can add some ideas that you can use.

Thanks for the info Joe. Maybe constant use will wear the scales down a bit. Just a bit rough on the old Levis. How's the weather up there. I lived in Spokane for a good portion of my young life. If I knew then what I know now, that the Northwest is becoming the knife manufacturing capital of the U.S., I would have never left. Take care and Happpy Holidays.
