Read. A lot. Post. A little.

Welcome to BFC, lots of good folk here. Enjoy!

Im new here. What do I do first? I love knives and the sort. Just wondering. Thanks

Yeah, explore the general knife discussions, traditional knives, old knives and customs tosee where your interests lie. Then hide your credit card. Maybe you will stop like me just after about a thousand knives. Or maybe not.

i haven't been here too long, but i have found this place is a huge wealth of information on anything knife related. and its a pretty friendly place too! oh and welcome! please come and stay a while.

Read the stickies, the permanent threads at the top of each forum's listing. These have not been given for stickie status for no reason. They are either important or they are the best and most-informative threads. READ THEM.

Welcome Nick... This is the best place on the interwebs. If you like knives, there is a section here for ya. As well as sections for many other things.

Lots of terrific people, and a wealth of knowledge to tap into. As Gollnick said, read the rules and the stickies. It makes the mods job a lot easier.

Enjoy.

Pay for a Gold or higher membership so you can access the "other" stuff and also sell - if you get hooked you will be in the Exchange either buying or selling or both. There are some good people and some good deals to be had in the Exchange if you are patient.

Use the hell out of the search feature - pretty much every question you will think of has been posted since I started here - and I'm still relatively new compared to some.

Welcome.

I can offer some advice on what not to do.

Do not troll forums and then sign back up lying multiple times.

See you next time tattosteve aka Eienstein01, Johnmsenior, TonyReagan, JoshS001, Johnbquick.

You had your chance to reply to me in an honest attempt to work things out and have chosen to lie instead.

So one of the key things to notice is that as a whole this forum is based on being honest, following through on words and conducting yourself with integrity in a way that corresponds to the general behavior of the knife community as a whole.
