First you decide that 4 mini punch knives can be made from it. Then lay out the design so it can be cut out on a band saw.



Bet you did not think I could do it.



A little more work with the band saw.




Rough them out on the KMG machine.




Work up through the grits to 260 on the way to 1200.



More tomorrow.
 
Flats and spine have been taken to 600 grit. The bevel has been taken to 1200 then polished. These knives have been ground on a 6 inch wheel so the concave nature of the edge is very apparent. Now off to the furnace for hardening and tempering.

 
And Finished. The two arrowheads are high satin polished the two single edge have a light polish on the oxide from the furnace, its pretty durable stuff and is non reflective. Any one need stocking stuffers??


 
Well done maxing out the use of a small piece of steel into functional art.
