Recommendation? What to do with damaged Aqua Salt?

So I have an Aqua Salt serrated that I really like. I wanted another to keep with my fishing gear and found one on eBay. I bid on it and won. When I received it I was really disappointed with the condition. It was duller than a butter knife. The tip was rounded, some of the serrations were broken off and the sheath is so worn that the knife falls out if you invert it. Actually my nearly new Aqua will do that sometimes but I digress.

I spent a solid hour with the Sharpmaker trying to make it sharp and got it to the point of being not totally dull but the teeth are damaged so it isn't working all that well. Would it make sense for me to regrind it to plain Edge? Keep working with the Sharpmaker? Try my Worksharp? Throw it over the hill?

I want to love this thing as much as my other Spydercos. Please give me your input.

I didn't know they would do that. If that is an option, I am all in!

You could always give it to the one you outbid

I did win a knockoff ukpk tho lol
