What to do with my extra pointy Classic Sebenza?

I picked up a new large classic Sebenza and fell in love with the blade shape. Super sharp point; seemingly sharper and pointier than other classic Sebenzas I have seen. Still has the nice sweeping belly to the blade also. My problem; I was playing around with the knife last night, and noticed that when closed the point is slightly protruding out the handle. Enough to catch your finger on if you are not careful. Now, I know I can knock some of that point off and fix the problem, but I love the shape of the blade as is. ??? If I send the knife back to Chris and gang, what will they do to it?

Can't imagine they'll do anything to to blade shape unless it's a bad blade (unlikely considering their QC history). If you're worried about it, I'd have them call you when they get and look at the knife, and if they have to put on a new blade, maybe you could negotiate something. All I know is for sure there should be no part of the edge or point exposed at all when closed.

Think of it as extra blade for no extra cost:D I'm gonna move this to the Chris Reeve Forum. You might get more specific answers/alternatives there.
