I have two of those usb wireless network things that plug into a computer's usb and has a little foldup antenna. Positively pokey when compared to wireless card.

Any useful thing I could do with them?

Yep, if you have two computers, preferably one of them being a notebook. Plug one WiFi USN adaptor in your desktop computer (assuming it's the one with the internet link), the other one in the notebook (if it doesn't have WiFi yet). Share the internet link, set up an ad-hoc connection between the two wireless USB adaptors (use encryption for safety) and you can surf the forums wireless :)

I know somebody who lives next door to his father. His father basically gets free internet via the network thingy. I use one since the 12 yr old and 22 yr old use my main computer so I use a laptop connected wireless. They also can be used with TIVO, but not sure I would care to do that.

EDIT: I probably should mention there can be a little pain in getting everything working right. I had to call tech support a few times, which means talking to somebody for whom English isn't their first language. Also you want to make sure the security is setup so others in the neighborhood don’t hop onto the Internet via your connection.

These are extra, they where pretty slow so I switched to cards instead. I have WEP security set up,, I think I'm OK

if they're extra
either give them to a friend, or ebay them
both would work i think
