This is my first BF knife (2009). I'm looking forward to it. It's a sweet looking design and I think it'll be a great knife. It'll be my first knife with stag also!! I don't believe I'll be using it. I'm thinking it's more of a looker but I'm sure It would serve well as a nice carry knife? What have you all done with BF knives of past? Anyone carry it? Anyone have pics of years past knives?

Use it, for sure. I bought it because it looked like a useful and unusual pattern. I'm eager to see how it fits my hand and cuts. I wouldn't know what to do with a safe queen. I feel like I get to know a tool by using it and caring for it.

I will use it, just like any and all I buy. I may not scrape concrete off of a shovel with it, but I will use it definitely. Looking forward to its arrival.

I got two of them coming.

The one with the best stag, I'll put aside and enjoy looking at...

The other one, will get the crap used out of it, plan on carrying that until I am old and weak....the blades are stout and D2, great steel for edc, not much for patina, but amazingly good for a combination of edge holding and utility in a pocket knife.

The size and shape is about the ultimate for front pocket carry.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Good question. I've had & used the '07 & '08 knife, although I think this one will be ideal as a user.

Some have bought 2 so they can use 1 & store the other, but I just got 1 & plan on putting it in the rotation. It'll be my 7th slippie for carrying/using so I'll have 1 for each day of the week, soon.

At the very least, it can be your "dress" knife.

I am really looking forward to the nice stag. I will be showing off to some girls. Apparently, Jackknife mentioned that women love stag. I am going to test it out.

God Bless

I've only got one coming, but I'll be carrying it. I don't buy 'em to sit in a drawer or on a shelf, they deserve to get the using they were made for.

I have ordered two.....One for the pocket and one for the safe.

If you don't use it, you can donate it to me for trialing....
When you like a knife, how can you not carry it?

Hey, I like that 7 knives for 7 days of the week! I think I'll give that a try....I just need a few more slip joints and I'll be there.

Also, what were the 07/08 knives? Any pics?

My 06 ring opener became a safe queen but I'm planning on this one being a edc that is used and not worried about. I've gotten to the place in my knife carrying that I don't worry about scratching, rusting, dulling, or breaking my knives. I have a few now that I enjoy carrying and useing so much that if something happens to one of them I'll miss it but that just gives the others more time to be carried.

It will join the rotation. I have never been a huge Barlow fan, but the combination of the Stag and the clip/warny blade combination in D2 will make this great user!

Those are very nice looking. I really like the 07! The 06 ring is also interesting. Thanks for sharing those.

User all the way, why buy it if ya don't use it, (just kiddin' I have a few that were never used they're meant to be resold later) all my BFC Traditional Forum knives are EDCd :).

No matter what you with it, it'll be worth havin, enjoy it, tell us all what ya think about it when ya get it.
