Alright youall got me into this mess I need your help. First of all just a little background. Prior to my join date of Nov. 05 I was happy as could be with a $50.00 case stockman. Now I 've bought my first $400.00 knife ($385.00 + tax). As alot of you know I bought a BG 42 Sebenza off of muzzleup. ( I'm waiting on delivery) In the meantime I bought the large, classic S30V Sebenza which I now don't want can't afford! I carried this knife 3 days opened and closed it 20 ok 40 times a day for the 3 days. It cut nothing but air. Now the question, how much should I expect to get out of it when I sale it? I know I'm going to have to take a "hit" but how much of one. Please help this POOR hillbilly out!!!

(...ignoring the "can't afford") Have you considered trading it instead of selling?

There is really nothing that I want. I have( or will have soon) the BG 42, Mini Sere, Mountaineer II and a Pal RH Bowie knife for a beater. All of these are or will be users. I know you did'nt say it but I don't want any safe queens. With the BG 42 why would I want to rotate my EDC knives? If I was carrying something else I would probably be missing the Sebenza. I'm a simple man and I really love the plain, large, classic Sebenza!

That equates to a buncha cut air ! Considering the minute air particles that have come into contact with the edge. . . . . .it's worth $3.85.

Just let me know where to send the money. :p :D

The answer is:

It depends on how quickly you would like to sell it.

There's some up and down in the second hand seb market and you never know when somone wants (or no one wants) what ever it is you have for sale.

Some send it back to CRK for a sharpen to improve the sale for $10 and two weeks time.

The suggestion to hold it for a trade is a good one. You'll soon want a Hinderer anyway, ;) maybe someone will swap.

Thanks daveh, but thats all I need is another knife! Gigone, you can have her for $3.85. However, shipping and handling will be $381.15!!!!! Come on now, youall got me into this mess. I was happy until I contracted bladeforumitis, for which it seems there are temporary cures but nothing permanent!

uh, if you have that dreaded CRK fever - have you considered sending it back to have a damascus blade put on it? (oops - that's the kind of convoluted thinking that has caused me some creative explanations to the "chief finance keeper".)

got apic of it? Im a sucker for a purty knife!

You need a dressy Seb for best, that wood inlay looks great. Keep it for use on high days and holidays . One Sebenza is never enough , believe me !.

Lordy. . . .that's some expensive shipping ! :D With shipping prices like that, sounds as if you're hiring armed guards to escort the knife. :p
