Hi all, I have mainly been lurking and buying stuff. The search function is my best friend. Most of all my questions have been answered easily. Right now I have a desire for a new toy. Well another new one cause I have a muk and boss jack le on order.

Currently one of my favorites is my LE ASH. I currently have two. One I left alone and the other I have convexed it an made the height a little shorter, similar to the 3B2. I knocked off .1 of an inch according to the caliper. The thickness is .205 inches. I absolutely love it. Just a little pinky bite, but I love how it holds on to your hands and doesn't slip off. I also have smaller hands so a I shaved some of the machine groves to give it a hand sanded feel. So the question is what is going to be the difference between that and the Skinny ASH?

I'd say there isn't much of a difference since the Skinny ASH1 that I have had all came in on my mic a bit thicker then .187 so I'd say real close. I'd say the biggest advantage is that you have a satin and no skinny ASH1 to my knowledge ever came in satin. Congrats on the score!

Yep. Keep what you have. You don't need a skinny in addition-to. The only thing I'd ever do to the ASH is melt it down. That rear talon-area is too hard on the pinky, as you mentioned.
