I recently purchased a Higo no Kami Daidai (sizeL), Nagaokoma. Has anyone had any experience with this. It will be used as a edc, light utility work unless in an extreme situation. Just looking for advice or information on this knife. Thanks to all in advance. By what ever name you call god, may by that name shall he answer.

It won't be precisely put together, more common knives with thinner blades and locks will slice better and be more functional, the handles are too thin to grip tightly, and the blade hits the back of the handle. Despite that, I really like mine. That hand-made feel, tradition, hamon, and aogami steel really make it an interesting blade. The steel gets super sharp, too. Have you read the post on the knife's history on Britishblades? Very interesting read if you haven't seen it already...
