Hell of a nice guy. He is very appreciative of all the things I have done for his Father and family over the last 7 years. So much so that on Saturday he roped me into going to the mall, then proceeded into my preferred knife seller's establishment. Upon entry he asked which knife I wanted if money were no object. I told him I would want the Benchmade 750-101 Gold Class that I have been making payments on for for the last couple of months.
He calls over the salesman and says he wants to buy my knife outright and have all my payments refunded. Done.
I tell him to wrap it up and give it to me on Christmas.
Now he has been enamored with the spring assisted openers since I first showed him my collection. Since then, his Smith & Wesson folder has been lacking in one category or another ever since.
I was thinking of getting him the Benchmade 790 Subrosa plain-edge, satin finish. This MF'er snaps open really fast, has a titanium monolock handle & S30v blade steel. It would be stupendous leap beyond what he has now.
What say you?
