What to Get

I am looking to get a folder to carry at all times (everyday ordinary use). I was looking at solid Ti handle knives such as Benchmade Pinnacle, Gerber Airframe, and CRKT S-2. Also considering Microtech LCC. Any suggestions on above or something else? Want to stay under $150 because I want to be able to "use" it for general purpose without worry because of price Thanks in advance. Dave

Forgot to add, there is no where close to see and handle any of the above knives. All I have to go on is pictures and hopefully your advice! Thanks.

For that price, get an MT LCC.

You won't be sorry.

For your budget I'd say the LCC is your best bet. I don't own one, but have owned a mini-socom and it was a solid knife.

Welcome to the forums!

Funny thing, I posted this almost identical question on Benchmade's forum and recieved the same reply! (before I found this forum) I really expected another to be 1st choice but as I've said, I have never seen any of these, just pictures. I thought one of the others would be lighter, stronger, thinner and easier to carry.

Thanks for the replies so far. I really appreciate it! -Dave

Anything else I should be looking at?

Think about the BM 940 Osbourne. I just got mine yesterday and I'm very impressed. I was looking for a smaller knife for an everyday carry (for some funny reason people are a little bothered by my MT SOCOMs?). It's big enough to use, small enough to be inconspicious. Very nice aluminum handles, solid Axis lock, and the same 154CM steel as in the Lcc.

That being said, I have an LCC in the mail

Dave,
Replied to your post on the BM forum and the answer is still the same;
1- LCC
2- LCC
3- LCC
4- BM
5- Gerber

BTW, if you are looking at below $350.00 go with a Sebenza. I just got one and this is a super knife and the granddaddy of the frame locks.

I have a MT SOCOM, and I love it. Maybe look into the SOCOM's.

Buy the LCC. Then use the change from your $150 to take your wife or girlfriend to the movies. While you are at the movies butter her up for another knife!!!!

aflatfoot,
now we know how you have been getting all those blades! Good show.
Chang,
you are right on with the Socom. The microbar lock is a minrature version of a framelock, with its thickness.
