I am getting married in October and I am trying to figure out what to give to my attendants. I have 4 friends standing up with me and my 2 future brother-in-laws as ushers. I'm willing to spend up to $100 on each person but am hoping to keep it around $50. I'm looking for an engraveable piece. Any suggestions?

Best bet is a full stainless model, like the Spyderco line offers.

the c07 police can be found for 80USD
The c10 endura can be found for 55, the c11 delica for 45, c28 dragonfly for 40, c29 SS cricket for 40...

plenty of engraving room.

What about one of those Spyderco patriots, or whatever they're called? They're pretty good from what I've heard.

If you have time, you might want to think about assembling a Darrel Ralph kit knife (www.1sks.com) to give to each of them. The kits cost about $58 each ($40 for the kit + $18 for the scales). Additional upgrades like bronze washers and clips might push the price up to about $70 each. Besides that, all you'll have to get is sandpaper of various grits, and perhaps some Loctite.

The personal touch makes the gift very meaningful.

Get 'em a stainless plain-edge Spyderco Delica. They'll thank you for many years to come.

there is a nice SS handle model of the spyderco jess horn, availiable from AG russell, would make a perfect gift for a wedding

I have given Leatherman PST IIs as gifts. To personalize them I had the flap on the nylon sheath embroidered with the recipients initials (by a place that did T-shirts and hats). Once they got it set up they didn't charge a setup fee to change the initials for subsequent sheaths. I also got one Leatherman tool engraved and am convinced that a skilled engraver could create a nice personalized piece (the specific LM I had engraved didn't turn out well; I wanted a stamped look to the lettering but all I could get in the time-frame I had was trophy-style block lettering that looked cheesy).

I am appreciating the help that you guys are giving me. I like all the ideas so far. Everything suggested is something that I would buy for myself, which is what I want to give.:)

I recomend you any SAK´s, Little Leatherman´s, remember not all the people want to have only one blade, most of the people want to have a tool with them.
