What to look for on a Fake ZT 620 CF?

Recently made a purchase on a 620CF from an individual and am waiting for it to arrive. The knife is the M390/CF model but has a G-10 scale from a 630 installed currently. I ended up picking the knife up for $140 and want to make sure when the knife arrives that it isn't too good to be true. I used PP (non F&F) so I'm not too worried on that end, just want the real thing.

His sale pictures are decent but kinda 'meh' so I can get better ones when it arrives, I just see all these differences in the generations so I kinda wanna know what I need to look for.

Also, IF it's real, and IF I decide I don't like the G-10, should I find a CF scale or custom?

Thanks for the help.:D

I've always though red & black c-tek would look good. Identifying a clone of that knife, however, is beyond my expertise.

Buy a new one from an authorized dealer and you'll never have to worry about it.

I don't think I have seen any 0620 clones.

Kinda hard when they are not made anymore. Barman, you da man! Didn't see that in my searches at all.

Zt 0620 cf are still being made, just in 204p steel... same knife same name different name for the steel. Chemical composition is almost identical to m390
Email them and ask for a M390 620CF for me then boss, let me know the response.

You sir are exactly correct. My tiff was with him telling me to go buy a new one. If I can get a good first run for $100 cheaper than new ill take it.

Just a question, but why would they change it to a G10 scale, that sounds fishy all by itself.

I just purchased my first ZT, and part of the reason I purchased from a local authorized dealer was to make sure I was spending $200+ on a pocket knife I actually wanted, and to make sure everything was kosher with the deal.
I have to say, we'll worth the price. I can see these knives dipping into my piggy bank quite a bit.

I didn't tell you to do anything. I just said if you did you would have peace of mind.
