I have been making homemade knives for 2 years, and have started making denim micarta handles, I have been using super glue to finish the handles. I would like to know if anybody has used anything else? I love the look of the denim, but don't like the glue on my fingers, or the smell from it. I haven't heard of anything else being used for finish. Thank you

I sand it to 360 or 600 grit and then just wax it with flitz gun & knife wax, or another similar product. Glue seems like an odd choice since they're basically made of glue. Micarta takes quite a shine when taken to 1000+ grit.

I use my belt sander go down to 600 grit micron belt.K&G supplies has green compound that has a 400- 600grit in it.then I go to a white 1000 grit .finishesout with a good shine.
