Just wondering what is recommended for use on cleaning and oiling Strider S30V blade steel? Thanks, Paul

Why would you need to oil a blade that is coated and is already stainless?

For cleaning, I find that typical dish detergent and plenty of water does the job:thumbup:.

I use dish soap then use a good car wax over the blade. It helps the blade stay clean. Try it on all your knifeblades.

So I'm not the only person that waxes their blades!

I always hated how there would be adhesive all over my blade after cutting boxes open at work. I figured this trick out after helping my wife dig the wick out of a candle. I wiped the extra wax off, but the little that remained left the blade nice and slick. The next day at work, I noticed that the adhesive goo was no longer sticking to my blade. From then on, all of my knives have had a little waxing after cleaning.

I've heard you still need to clean and oil the tiger striped strider blades. I also heard a pencil eraser can help get some surface discoloration out.
