What traditional are you carrying in your watch pocket?

I carry several knives, a belt knife like a buck 110, 192 vanguard, or cases folding hunter. And I carry a full sized pocket knife, normally a case 75 pattern stockman. But I also carry a smaller knife in my watch pocket regularly. Not every day, but often.

I find myself grabbing this little schrade more than not. Thanks seas165 seas165 for gifting it to me in a GAW!

So what knife or knives do you carry in your watch pocket? And, is it your main knife or in addition to your larger regular knife?

A gec 14 at one point. But it fell out of that watch pocket. Ive been cautious ever since. It is most likely not my main knife.
Did you lose it?

I guess that’s another related question. Has anyone ever lost a knife out of their watch pocket?

no, luckily i noticed it before getting out of the cab. its a funny story about that 14, because I had originally managed most of the 14 single clips that year but ultimately let most of em go except the ones I really wanted. I had even let the back up to that ebony clip go by some mistake. Took till this most recent rendezvous to get one for daily carry. No clue why they marked it an S tho.

If my jeans have one, and when/if the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 thing runs, a skeletonized manual whined full hunter pocket watch.
When it don't (more often than not the last few months 😡😡🤬🤬😡) a SAK Mini Champ.

None usually, but certainly carry one from time to time that would likely be suitable for the jeans 5th pocket. Only I carry it my left front pocket.
Why? ... because ...
A) just feels more secure in the left front
2) when playing pocket pool, got a pocket knife to grab hold of
B) worried I'd wear a hole in the jeans 5th pocket eventually
IV) knife in the 5th pocket and sitting on top of the hip bone isn't comfortable for long periods
C) a pocket knife just doesn't keep accurate time ... not that I'm into that
X) all of the above

Not too often, it's not really secure, must be a tight fit- CASE Swayback e.g. but then it's fiddly to get out

Anyway, my 'lucky' coins usually reside there: Greek € with the Minerva Owl, Canadian 5c with a Beaver, Irish Free State 3d with a Hare. That's a menagerie of creatures, no room for knives really 😸

I would love to carry my knife in my watch pocket, but I'm a proper handed lefty and they're always on the wrong side.

I carry my belt knife on my off side. I carry a gun on the right, but even if I didn’t, it’s convenient to have my belt knife there since I carry my pocket knife in my strong side.

Scratches on a knife don't impact its performance at all (and often add to its looks). Scratches on the lens of a flashlight impact its performance. So knives go in the pocket with keys, pen, guitar pick, etc., and flashlight goes in the watch pocket by itself.

Watch pocket for me was always a Case Peanut or a Victorinox Alox Cadet.

These two, in particular. At one time it was the Peanut in the watch pocket and the Cadet in the main pocket, pretty much every day. Some days I would carry the Cadet in the watch pocket and something larger in the main pocket. Or just the Cadet alone.

That Cadet has the normal shiny silver blade - I think it was reflecting my shirt in that photo. Makes it look like a darkened blade of some kind. It isn't.

Interesting selections thus far.

I carry the GEC pocket carver in my watch pocket sometimes. Most time it doesn’t go with me. But if I anticipate whittling while waiting in town, in she goes. It’s just at the limit of what fits.

I think at one point someone was trying to convince me of the watch pocket barlow #25, even had a few of em at one point because of a specific rendezvous. That was one of those patterns that wouldnt stick tho as it was an oddly sized even though it was mostly symmetrical. Mind you I used to keep a zippo lighter in that pocket.

Yeah, for some reason those 25 Barlows never tickled my fancy. I was much more enamored of the 06 Pembertons. However, they came out in 2013, right when I was getting into traditional knives, and their price tag was up close to $100 at the time. I had not yet developed price immunization yet and figured I'd rather have a $35 Case Peanut. I do wish I had snagged one when they were out, though.
